Who we are and what we do

Who are we?

Marco and Serena, partners in both work and life. The hotel is our home, and here we welcome you together with our daughters, Rachele and Rebecca, ready to look after you and share our passion for our land: the Langhe of Barolo.

How long has the hotel been around?

The hotel was opened in 1994 by Teresita, Marco’s mother.
We have been taking care of it since 2011, and we think of it as our first child!

Who will welcome me?

You will be welcomed by us. We’ll greet you on arrival, serve you breakfast, and be happy to recommend wineries, restaurants, and experiences in the Langhe.
Working alongside us is a close-knit team that has been part of our family for many years.

Where we are

Where are we?

We are in Castiglione Falletto, a small and peaceful medieval village in the heart of the Barolo Langhe.
The hotel is just a short walk from the village castle, in a central yet quiet location—perfect for exploring the UNESCO-listed hills.

How far are we from Alba and the other villages?

Alba is about a 15-minute drive away.

The main Barolo villages are very close:
- Barolo – 5 minutes
- La Morra – 10 minutes
- Monforte d'Alba – 10 minutes

Within a 30-minute drive, you can also reach:
- Neive
- the Barbaresco hills
- the Roero area
- Asti

Our location is therefore ideal for exploring all the Langhe and the main wine villages.

How do I get to the hotel?

The nearest airport is Turin Caselle Airport.
Alternatively, many guests also arrive via Milan Malpensa Airport, which is about 2 hours away.
The nearest train station is Alba.
The most convenient way to explore the Langhe is by car, so you can freely visit wineries and villages.
Upon request, we can also help you arrange private transfers or taxis.

Booking and stay

How can I book directly with you?

Through our official website or by contacting us via email, phone, or WhatsApp.
You’ll always hear directly from us, so we can get to know you even before your arrival.

What are your cancellation policies?

Depending on the number of rooms booked and the period, different cancellation policies may apply.
We always communicate all conditions clearly before the booking is confirmed.

Can I change the dates of my stay?

This depends on your booking’s cancellation policy and availability.
Write to us—we will always do our best to help.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, credit cards (except American Express), debit cards, Satispay, and bank transfers.
Upon request, we also accept PayPal payments (with a small additional fee).

Our opening hours

When is the reception open?

Every day from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
We are always reachable in case of emergencies.

What time is check-in?

From 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Is it possible to arrive outside these hours?

Yes, with a few arrangements.
Early check-in (before 3:00 pm): you can request early check-in from 12:00 pm for a small additional fee.
Late check-in (after 8:00 pm): always possible for suites and apartments if arranged in advance.

For double rooms, late check-in after 8:00 pm is not always possible.
We recommend contacting us in advance so we can check availability together.

What about check-out?

Check-out is by 11:00 am.
If you’d like to make the most of your last hours for a visit or a walk, just let us know—we can store your luggage and, although space is limited, we’ll do our best to help.

Is it possible to leave before 8:00 am or after 11:00 am?

Yes, early check-out before 8:00 am is possible. If you let us know by 4:00 pm the day before, we’ll be happy to prepare a takeaway breakfast for you.
After 11:00 am, you can request a late check-out for a small additional fee, subject to availability.

Rooms, suites and apartments

What is the difference between rooms and apartments?

In our hotel in the Langhe, you can choose between double rooms and more spacious suites or apartments.
The rooms are all double rooms with private bathrooms, located in the main building and reserved for adults (from 12 years old).
The suites and apartments are larger and suitable for families, groups, or couples. They include a living area and, in some cases, a kitchen and one or two bedrooms.

Where are the apartments located?

The suites and apartments are in a separate building next to the hotel, with an independent entrance, about 50 metres from reception.
Guests can still enjoy all hotel services, such as breakfast, the terrace, and the wellness area (by reservation).

Are rooms and apartments cleaned every day?

Yes, we provide daily housekeeping for both rooms and apartments (except for kitchens).
Bed linen and towels are changed every 3 days.

Do you have rooms for guests with disabilities?

Unfortunately, we do not have rooms equipped for guests with disabilities.

Children and families

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are welcome in the suites and apartments.
Double rooms are reserved for adults and children aged 12 and over.
This way, we can offer spaces suitable for families as well as quieter rooms for couples.

Do you provide baby equipment?

Yes, we offer cots and high chairs.
As availability is limited, we kindly ask you to request them at the time of booking.
In the breakfast room, we also have plates, glasses, and cutlery for children, as well as a few small toys.

Breakfast and bar

What is your breakfast like?

Breakfast is a served buffet, prepared every morning with local and organic products.

You will find both sweet and savory options, including:

  • homemade cakes and pastries
  • fresh croissants
  • bread and jams
  • yogurt and cereals
  • fresh fruit and organic juices
  • local cured meats and cheeses
  • freshly made scrambled eggs
  • freshly made coffee

A simple and genuine way to start the day with the authentic flavours of the Langhe.

Is there a bar?

Throughout the day, we are always happy to prepare coffee, aperitifs, and drinks for our guests.
Some snacks and simple dishes are also available, ideal for a light lunch or a break during the day.
We do not have a bar open to the public—it is reserved exclusively for our guests.

Do you offer options for special dietary needs?

Yes, we can prepare options for food intolerances, as well as gluten-free or lactose-free diets.
We just ask that you let us know at the time of booking or before arrival, so we can organise everything at best.

 

The restaurant

Is there a restaurant?

Yes, Ristorante Le Torri is located within the property, but it is managed separately from the hotel and is also open to the public.

Are there other restaurants nearby?

Yes, two restaurants are just a short walk from the hotel in the centre of Castiglione Falletto.
In addition, many of the best restaurants in the Langhe—ranging from traditional trattorias to gourmet dining—can be reached within a few minutes by car.

Is it necessary to book?

Yes, we always recommend booking, especially:
⚙ on weekends
⚙ in summer
⚙ during truffle season
⚙ in peak periods

Terrace and pools

Do you have a swimming pool?

Yes, our hotel in the Langhe features a small panoramic pool and an outdoor whirpol tub on the terrace.
They are perfect for relaxing after a day spent visiting wineries, enjoying Barolo tastings, and exploring the villages of the Langhe.

The outdoor pools are not heated.

Are they always open?

The panoramic pool and outdoor tub are open during the summer season (approximately from late May to mid-September), weather permitting.

Is it necessary to book?

Access is subject to a fee and must be booked in advance, to ensure privacy and tranquillity.

Is it always open?

The wellness area is closed from mid-May to mid-September. During this time, you can relax on our panoramic terrace instead!

Pets

Do you accept pets?

We love animals and want every guest—human or four-legged—to enjoy a pleasant stay.
We can host a maximum of 3 pets at a time, to ensure comfort and tranquillity for everyone.

Which rooms can I stay in with my pet?

In all suites and apartments, as well as in Superior rooms.

Is there an extra charge?

Yes, it will be included directly in your booking.

Activity

Do you have bicycles or e-bikes available?

We do not have bikes on-site.
However, you can request delivery of your rental directly to the hotel through our partner, or pick up your bike/e-bike at their location.

Do you organise excursions or activities?

We collaborate with local providers to offer authentic experiences.

Castiglione and surroundings

What is Castiglione Falletto like?

Castiglione Falletto is one of the most authentic villages in the Barolo Langhe.
It is a small, peaceful village surrounded by Barolo DOCG vineyards.
Here you will find:
